How Diary Badger uses personal details. Last updated 23 October 2026.
Draft: this notice isn't in force yet.
Who we are
Diary Badger is run by [the business that runs Diary Badger]. Contact us at hello@diarybadger.com.
If you've booked an appointment
The business you booked with is responsible for your details, and we look after them on its behalf. Each business's booking page links to how it uses them (“Privacy” at the bottom of the page). To see, correct or delete your details, contact that business, or contact us and we'll pass your request on.
If you run a business on it
For the people who sign in, we're responsible for:
- your email address, and the records of when you signed in;
- the business details, team names and photos you add;
- your plan and payments. Stripe takes the payments, so we never see your card details; we keep only Stripe's reference for your subscription and whether it's paid up.
We use them to provide the service you signed up for (including, unless you turn them off, emailing you when a client books, cancels or moves online), to keep it secure, and to contact you about your account. We keep them while your account is open, then for up to 30 days so you can export your data, after which they're deleted (and leave our backups within a further 90 days). Accounts that never set up a business are deleted once they've gone 30 days without being used.
If you visit our pages
We count visits to our own pages (this one, the home page, the pages for each kind of business and sign-up) to see what's useful. The count uses no cookies and can't identify you. We don't count visits to businesses' booking pages, booking links or the dashboard. Our forms use a check that you're a person rather than a bot, and our hosting keeps short-lived records of requests to keep the site secure.
Cookies and your browser
We use only what's needed: a cookie that keeps you signed in, your light or dark choice, and, if you tick “Remember my details” when booking, your details saved in your own browser. No advertising or tracking cookies.
Who else handles details
- Supabase: database, sign-in and photo storage (Data stored in London (UK); US company)
- Vercel: hosting the website, and counting visits to our own pages (Runs in London (UK); US company)
- The SMS Works: booking and reminder texts (UK)
- Resend: confirmation, reminder and sign-in emails, and booking alerts to businesses (US company)
- Cloudflare: the check that a visitor isn't a bot (US company)
- Stripe: businesses' subscription payments (UK company; US parent)
Where one is outside the UK, details are protected by the safeguards UK law requires, such as the UK–US data bridge or the ICO's international data transfer agreement or addendum. We never sell personal details.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your details, to correct or delete them, or to stop using them for anything you object to. If you're unhappy with how we handle them, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
